7 ways to embrace being human
Release the idea that you or your life can be perfect - perfectionism is an illusion (and boring af in reality). Social media and AI make perfection look attainable, yet under that shiny veneer it’s just photoshopped life. Never compare your internal experience to someone’s external projection.
Accept that you will mess up, make mistakes, and be misunderstood. It’s part of the human package, it happens - and it needs to. Human stumbling blocks are miracle grow for the Soul.
Reconnect to and celebrate what makes you who YOU are deep down. Your quirks, flaws, vibe, personal vision, and presence are one-of-a-kind. Stay weird.
Seek inner wholeness/authenticity vs. external acceptance/validation. Notice if you have a tendency to exchange your truth for membership or social belonging/recognition. Real knows real.
Explore what makes you feel ALIVE in your body and do more of that stuff. Being human is having a body capable of vast sensory experiences and perceptions. Learn to love what your body can do/feel/create.
Don’t pretend to love everything about yourself. Practice accepting that you won’t always love/like things, but you also don’t have to hide, fear, or run from them. Can you live with things you aren’t crazy about? That’s true acceptance. That’s being human.
Embrace the ways life inevitably touches you. The highs and lows will always flow through our lives - that’s a given. Imagine letting go and trusting yourself to navigate the currents. Only then will you fully realize - you are wider and deeper than the waves.
May our hearts open so fully to the human journey that there is more than enough space to hold, feel, and cherish it all.
