7 ways to nurture your Hermit Phase

I receive a lot of messages from those who are deep in the Hermit Phase of the healing process and simply don't know what to do with themselves…

Don't worry! Confusion and uncertainty are key aspects of this liminal space between the Old You and the New You that is delicately rebirthing in the womb-like void that is the Hermit's cave.

Life often feels foreign, dreamlike, or unreal during this phase because your awareness is expanding and your past is falling away as your future self is revealed.

Old patterns, beliefs, assumptions, and ways of relating to others and the world around you don't feel right anymore. And for good reason - you're shedding the old and opening the next layer of your being.

This transition can be scary and cause many of us to feel restless, disconnected, hyper-sensitive, exhausted, and even depressed.

All of this is normal when you're experiencing significant inner shifts and unexpected complex grief.

It's also natural to miss and mourn the past. Even the difficult relationships, the shitty habits, the unhealthy or unhappy parts of ourselves will be hard to say goodbye to - and letting go doesn't happen overnight.

It's a delicate unraveling and it makes sense that you're feeling more raw and introverted as you feel into your most tender parts.

In the midst of your unraveling...

Trust that the inner pull to solitude, to tune out of the external noise, and to carve out extra space for rest and shedding is for your highest good.

Your Soul designed this path knowing all it would entail, knowing everything you needed would be divinely orchestrated for you.

Spirit has given you the tools.
Spirit has given you the catalysts.
Spirit has given you the Love.

The next time hermitting calls to you...

👣 Allow yourself to unplug and withdraw
🧘🏼‍♀️ Befriend silence
👣 Embrace the discomfort and unknowns
🧘🏽‍♂️ Reconnect with your body
👣 Wander through the evolving corners of your Heart and Soul
🧘🏿‍♀️ Listen to your Self

The key is there.
The healing is there.
Your truth is there.

And there you are.

  1. Sleep in, sleep more, prioritize rest

  2. Release the urge to stay busy or “productive”

  3. Focus on bring present vs. doing or accomplishing

  4. Listen to your body, say no accordingly (even if it’s uncomfortable or inconvenient!)

  5. Have tea with your Angels and Higher Self - spill the tea and receive Divine support

  6. Notice how you avoid stillness, solitude, or feeling alone

  7. Explore new personal boundaries and needs
